Mr. Imran Maqbool

Mr. Imran Maqbool is a seasoned professional with almost 4 decades of diverse banking & finance experience. He has served as President & Chief Executive Officer of MCB Bank Ltd. from 2012 to 2021, prior to which he had served MCB as Head of Commercial Branch Banking Group, where he successfully managed the largest group of the bank in terms of market diversity, size of the workforce, number of branches on a countrywide basis, and diversified spectrum of products. In his earlier roles at MCB, Mr. Maqbool served as Head Wholesale Banking Group–North, Country Head MCB Sri Lanka, and Group Head Islamic Banking and Special Asset Management. Earlier in his career Mr. Maqbool was associated with the local banking operations of Bank of America and Citi Bank for over seventeen years, where he served at various senior management level positions.
Currently, other than EXIM Bank, Mr. Maqbool is a Board Member of Adamjee Insurance Company and Adamjee Life Assurance company. He has also served as a Board Member of other notable multinational and local companies. Mr. Maqbool has also held office as the Chairman of Pakistan Banks' Association.
